Army veteran Nathan Smith will bring accountability, efficiency, and modern leadership to the Tarrant County District Clerk’s office

Nathan is a former Army officer and Bronze Star Medal recipient who has led teams in both government and the private sector.


Nathan comes from a three-generation military family who taught him about service to community.


Nathan has worked in Tarrant County government and knows the issues. He is dedicated to ensuring the best possible delivery of County services to Tarrant residents.


Nathan is committed to modernization and an openness to replacing outdated, stubborn ways of doing things with processes shaped by open dialogue with stakeholders.
